Indiana has made it share of exports to the world. There’s basketball star Larry Bird and actress Vivica A. Fox, and of course that famous family of musicians from Gary. But one of the funniest exports hails from Nap Town, otherwise known as Indianapolis. Mike Epps is Indy’s best known comedian and now he’s heading around the country on the Mike Epps After Dark Tour.
If you want to hear Epps’ Super Bowl pick and his take on Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, check out the audio.
Epps will perform at Bojangles Coliseum on Sept. 20.
“I look forward to hitting the road and taking it to the next level. I have new jokes that are fresh and right off the rack,” Epps said in a press release.
On this tour, Epps is showcasing his new comic, Robert Powell.
“I don’t do no managing, but I will put you on. I’ll put you in front of the audience and let the audience pick and choose you. I signed him. He’s going to blow up like the World Trade. He’s going to be incredible. Look for him to take off in the next two years or so.”

He’s also got another movie coming out and is celebrating over two decades in the business. Repentance, a psychological thriller starring Sanaa Lathan, Forrest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie is coming soon. And if you can’t wait until then, Epps is hosting Shaq’s All Star Comedy Jam on Showtime Saturday night. (Check local listings.)
