Happy birthday to the first African American woman to travel in space on September 12,1992! Her name is Dr. Mae Jemison and today she is 60 years young. Dr. Jemison is an American physician and NASA astronaut. She resigned from NASA in 1993 to found a company researching the application of technology to daily life. So, today we salute you….Happy Birthday Dr. Jemison!
