Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is gearing up for the new school year by hosting the English Learner Family Academy Symposium (ELFAS) on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Elbert Edwin Waddell High School. According to WCCB, this event aims to equip families of Multilingual Learner students with essential resources and knowledge to support their academic success. Activities include cultural celebrations with international music and dance performances, culminating in a flag parade by students from the P.A.C.E. Summer Language Academy.
