The South Carolina Department of Health (DOH) has issued a warning against consuming Diamond Shruumz-brand chocolate bars, gummies, or cones due to their association with severe health issues.
In June, the FDA recalled Diamond Shruumz products after they were connected to symptoms such as seizures, nervous system depression, muscle tremors, irregular heart rates, mental confusion, nausea, and vomiting. According to WBTV, the products have been linked to the poisoning of 74 people in 28 states, including seven in South Carolina.
The FDA’s recall was announced on June 27, but some products may still be on shelves or available online. These items contain a proprietary blend of mushrooms and other unregulated ingredients.
