A recent LendingTree study has ranked North Carolina as the sixth-worst state for driving in the U.S. The ranking, based on millions of insurance inquiries from Nov. 5, 2023, to Nov. 4, 2024, was determined by analyzing driving incidents per 1,000 drivers, including collisions, DUIs, speeding-related incidents, and citations. According to WBTV, North Carolina had 39.6 incidents per 1,000 drivers, while Arkansas, the top-ranked state, reported just 14.7 incidents per 1,000 drivers.
