Woman Stabs Employee, Steals Vehicle During Test Drive

A 52-year-old woman was arrested in Mooresville after stabbing a car dealership employee and stealing a vehicle during a test drive, police said.
The incident occurred on Saturday, December 7, when officers responded to a report of an assault with a knife at Randy Marion Chevrolet. Authorities found the victim, a dealership employee, with superficial stab wounds to their hands and face.
According to WBTV, the employee had been test-driving a 2024 Cadillac Escalade with the suspect, Demika Porterfield, when she suddenly pulled out a knife and attacked. Afterward, Porterfield fled the scene in the vehicle.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Porterfield was arrested and is being held without bond and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony larceny, and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury.
