Drones have been spotted across several counties in the Carolinas, including Gaston, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg. Sightings have also been reported in other states, such as Ohio and Virginia, in recent weeks.
Despite increasing reports, government officials have provided little information, fueling concerns about a lack of transparency. According to WCCB, local residents, while not fearful for their safety, have expressed a desire for more details. A source told CNN that a classified hearing with the House Intelligence Committee is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon to address the issue.
