Human Rights Day was marked around the world on December 10, celebrating the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948. This year’s theme, “Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All,” emphasized the ongoing fight for equality and justice in the face of rising global challenges. In cities worldwide, activists and organizations held events, discussions, and protests to call attention to issues such as gender equality, refugee rights, and racial justice. The day serves as a reminder of the continued struggle for human rights, with many urging governments to uphold their commitments to protect fundamental freedoms for all people, everywhere.
