New 200-Unit Affordable Housing Community Opens in Charlotte

The NRP Group and the City of Charlotte marked the grand opening of the Residences at Cedar Creek on Wednesday, a new 200-unit affordable housing community in southeast Charlotte. Located on Forest Point Boulevard, the development offers convenient access to I-77 and is just 15 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
According to WCCB, the community is designed for residents earning between 30% and 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), with a mix of one- to four-bedroom apartments. Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, a conference center with a WiFi-enabled cyber café, an onsite playground, and covered picnic areas.
The Residences at Cedar Creek consists of three four-story buildings, providing housing options for both working professionals and growing families. The project aims to meet the city’s need for affordable housing while enhancing access to essential services and transportation.
