Jordan Davis, a former Mallard Creek High School standout, made a key impact in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl LVIX victory Sunday night. The 25-year-old defensive tackle recorded a sack on Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes during the Chiefs’ first drive of the third quarter. According to WBTV, Davis finished with two tackles, a sack, and helped negate a long Mahomes scramble with a holding penalty.

North Carolina natives Landon Dickerson and Will Shipley also contributed to the Eagles’ championship. Dickerson, from Hickory and a former South Caldwell High School player, helped block for 135 rushing yards against a tough Chiefs defense, while Shipley, a Weddington High School and Clemson graduate, returned a kick and made a tackle on special teams.
